Rotary Mukundeswar Senior Citizen Day Care Center

RC Bharatpur joined hands with Mukundeshwor Mahadev Temle at Shivghat, Bharatpur-4, Chitwan to start a Senior Citizens Day Care Center. The program was formally started from 7th of Shrawan (23rd July 2018), Monday in presence of more than 200 people including Rotarians, Rotaractors, Innerwheels, Past and Present Temple management committee members and senior citizens and many more…… In the formal program, Welcome by Project Coordinator President Nominee of RC Bharatpur Rtn. Dr. Rebanta Kumar Bhattarai, Rotary Information by Past President Rtn. Dr. IP Dhakal, Temple History by Chief Patron of the Temple Mr. Bishnu Ghimire were observed at the beginning. About 50 to 60 elderly persons (aged above 65 years from at least 50 families) enjoyed the services given by the center. Daily activities like Godly songs, sharing of experiences and citation etc. take place at the centre. Club has provided daily tiffin, health checkup facility in 6 months and going to build separate attached toilets for them. We visit regularly at the centre and take feedback from them and act accordingly. At the moment 50-60 elderly people are benefitted from the service. Indirect beneficiaries: Other family members are the indirect beneficiaries of the program. They can have their extra work done when these people are at centre. Daily company of the same aged group will help them to be positive and ultimately positive to the society and community. We expect better society in terms of tolerance, coordination and attached emotions. How this program help contribute in enhancing Rotary Image? This program has developed close relationship among the people of the society, Temple management committee, Metropolitan city ward members, social activists from the very beginning of the operations. This all happened due to the close relations among these people and we as a Rotarian always put our focus to our motto Service Above Self. People slowly understand about Rotary and the action by Rotary. During launching program all the Community level organizations representative were present and the positive message passed in the community.

Objective of the Program : The Care Centre will focus mainly in day time with the programs like Daily Bhajans (Divine songs), Tiffin, routine health checkup etc. to develop the healthy environment to live for senior citizens.
